I dream my painting and I paint my dream.

This painting is about a dream I had, someone wanted to petnap our pets.  It was a scary dream because my daughter, Jennifer, and I had to run away with our pets and hide in high grass to in order to save our pets.  When I woke in the morning, I sketched what I could remember from my dream and included it in my painting. It was Jen and I hiding in the grass with our pets and a creepy man looking for us.

This is a 20x18 watercolor.  Matted with yellow mattboard in a black frame.

  It is hanging on our wall and looks fabulous.

A few months ago I took pictures of the jewlery I make but the pictures did not turn out.  So, today I got a lesson on photography by my son.  I can't wait to see the pictures I took. I will share with you soon. I need to take more pictures.

This painting was done by an eight year old.

We started out with a drawing of a perfume bottle on canvas. We painted the bottle with pink acrylic. The label and  top was painted with a light charcol and for the background we used bahama blue.  The last thing we did was write on the label.

I have been teaching art lessons at Huchins Street Square for six months now!

If you have been following, you'll remember my studio in my entry room.  Well, my youngest daughter is graduating  from eighth grade on Monday and I'm having a party at my house so, I have taken the studio down so I can prepare for this party.

I will put it right back up because I have more lessons to plan,  I am adding adult painting lessons as well.

I have a very busy schedule for the summer.

I have a full time job and that takes up my whole day, I plan art lessons, teach art every Wednesday, paint for myself and make jewlery. Lastly, I clean my house, wash clothes, cook and all  that goes with raising a family.  

Well, on top of my daily life, a huge project just came my way...... We have a small cottage in our back yard that we have rented out for years. Well, the tenants are moving out as I blog!!!!

Maybe I should not be this happy but I have asked  my husband if I can keep it for my studio and he said, YES!!!!!

Well, it's going to be a lot of work and it may take all summer.  I will be sure to keep you posted.

I will be super busy but I have found that It makes me happy to be super busy.  At the end of my day it makes me feel good to know that I have not wasted a day but squeezed every minute of the day with things that make me happy.
